Star Wars Marathon – The Original Trilogy: Episodes IV, V, & VI
May the 4th Be With You!
Pretty soon, in a galaxy not so far away, you can see the original Star Wars trilogy on the big screen! Join fellow fans for an evening of cosmic proportion as we follow the Rebel Alliance efforts to free the galaxy from the clutches of the Galactic Empire, and Luke Sywalkers’s quest to become a Jedi and face Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope (1977)
Luke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire’s world-destroying battle station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the mysterious Darth Vader.
“Star Wars is…a rare experience for both adults and kids that shortchanges neither. Go — and enjoy.”
Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
After the Rebels are brutally overpowered by the Empire on the ice planet Hoth, Luke Skywalker begins Jedi training with Yoda, while his friends are pursued by Darth Vader and a bounty hunter named Boba Fett all over the galaxy.
“A stunning successor, a tense and pictorially dazzling science-fiction chase melodrama that sustains two hours of elaborate adventure while sneaking up on you emotionally.”
Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi (1983)
After a daring mission to rescue Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt, the Rebels dispatch to Endor to destroy the second Death Star. Meanwhile, Luke struggles to help Darth Vader back from the dark side without falling into the Emperor’s trap.
“Return of the Jedi,” the final act of George Lucas’ first “Star Wars” trilogy, is the best one yet.”
