New Bedford Symphony Orchestra presents Happy Birthday, Ludwig!
Ludwig van Beethoven:
Violin Concerto in D Major
Symphony No. 7
Yaniv Dinur, Conductor
Vadim Gluzman, Violin
This season, the world celebrates the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth. The NBSO joins the party in performing his immortal Violin Concerto with one of today’s top violinists, Vadim Gluzman. The triumphant Seventh Symphony completes the program as we celebrate the creative genius who gave us magnificent music that continues to inspire and enrich the lives of people everywhere.
Please note that this program was originally scheduled for April 18 and 19, 2020, and has been modified. There will be one performance on Friday evening and instead of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, we will perform Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with Vadim Gluzman, along with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.
If you are holding tickets for the Saturday, April 18, concert your seats are automatically transferred to the new date of Friday, August 21. If you are holding tickets for the Sunday, April 19, matinee, you will need to contact the NBSO to exchange them for the Friday, August 21, concert – or for any future matinee or evening performance through the end of the 2020-21 season.
