Folclórico Nacional de México

A joyous company that comes direct from Mexico to share its rich cultural gifts of dance, music, and folklore! Celebrating 60 years, Folclórico Nacional de México showcases its finest music and dance, pulsating with hypnotic rhythms and swirling colors, including a mosaic of traditional dances.

Founded in 1952 by dancer, dance teacher and choreographer Amalia Hernandez, the Folclórico Nacional de México is one of Mexico’s finest cultural exports. Although it has its roots as a very small, touring dance company, today the Folclórico Nacional de México is comprised of the School of the Ballet Folclórico located in Mexico City and has seen over 25,000 students pass through its doors.

This show pairs with a free Dance Barre event! Join us for Are All Dances Folk Dances with guest speaker Peter DiMuro on Wednesday, February 12, 7-8:00pm. Click here for details.

To purchase tickets for groups of 10 or more (and to secure a group discount), call 508-997-5664 x123 or email dlegge@zeiterion.org. There is a limit of 9 tickets for this performance, and customers exceeding the ticket limit may have their orders canceled.
