New, comfortable, beautiful theater seats are part of The Z’s historic restoration and renovation project - and you can make a donation to name one!
Until recently, the seats in the Zeiterion were second-hand. When they were installed in 1982, the plan was to replace them after a few years. Now, over 40 years later, the time has finally come.
For $1,000, you can have a name, quote, or inspiring message engraved onto a plaque and placed on the back of the seat. Your message will be permanently affixed for the lifetime of the chair.
It’s a great way to support The Z and make a long-lasting impact! Plus, your donation is 100% tax deductible, and a payment plan is available.
Please note: naming a seat does not entitle use of the seat for future performances.
How to order
Click above and follow the check-out process. You’ll have the option to choose the section (not the exact chair) of where you’d like to name a seat.

To order by phone, call 508-994-2900 to speak to a box office associate. Your purchase can be completed over the phone, or you can request materials to be mailed to you.
Order by July 31, 2025, to have your plaque in place for The Z’s re-opening. Any purchase after July 31 will be installed as they arrive.
The inscription can be a maximum of two lines, 50 characters total. A name is not required to be on the plaque.
